Nerja has about 10 miles of beaches, from small romantic bays to larger sandy beaches with lots of facilities. The most famous beaches are Playa la Torrecilla and Playa Burriana both within walking distance from Casas de la Seda. The latter gets awarded year after year with the European Blue Flag, an international eco-label for beaches and marinas. At Playa Burriana you will find many beach clubs with tasty menus and refreshing drinks, a typical Spanish breakfast is served for less than 10 Euro.
Looking for a more quiet beach? Then go to Playa de Playazo or Playa de Maro.
‘Paseo de los Carabineros’, a gorgeous walking path, leads past many small beaches and rocky hills and offers beautiful views of the coast. Officially, the path has been closed for several years, but hikers still go there at their own risk.
